About Us

Altai Meadows is a family farm located in north-central Missouri near the small town of Higbee. Our family is dedicated to the production of quality grass-fed, grass-finished beef in a manner that respects our environment and our cattle. Our cattle mob is moved to fresh pasture on a daily basis to provide exceptional foraging conditions while continuously improving our pastures. Our beef is naturally and humanely produced without added hormones or antibiotics. We also leave out the chemical wormer and vaccines. Grass-finished beef, pasture raised chicken, and farm fresh eggs are available for purchase at the farm and at the Columbia Farmers Market in Columbia, Missouri.  Farm tours are also available by appointment.

ALTAI MEADOWS CARES FOR CATTLE THROUGH GRASS FEEDING

The words “grass-fed” on a package of beef might sound promising, but the label alone doesn’t guarantee that grass was the only thing the herd munched on.
