Broilers

Broilers are chicken specifically raised for meat.  We use Jumbo Broilers from Central Hatchery in Nebraska (www.centralhatchery.com).  These birds arrive at our farm when they are 2 to 3 days old and spend their first few weeks inside a warm and secure brood house. Once they’re old enough to maintain their body temperature without the use of heat lamps we move them outside to large pens in one of our cattle pastures.  These pens are moved daily to provide a clean environment and fresh forbs and grasses.  Supplemental non-GMO feed and fresh water are provided daily as well.
